Yesterday the CGSA went on a fun tour at the macadamia nut farm! There we got to sample many different macadamia nuts from Cinnamon glazed to chocolate covered. We also sampled many Kona coffees and some tea made especially from Hawaii. A few of us actually cracked open our own macadamia nuts, island style (with a rock)!
We learned alot about some of the plants that grow here on the islands. They allowed us to pick some of our own starfruit to take home and eat too. We also learned about making fire, husking a coconut and some traditions of Hawaii. We were able to see some of the buildings used in tv shows like ER, Lost, and Fantasy Island.
